Thermal Processing Equipment for Recycling Operations
Pyrolysis systems, rotary dryers and material handling equipment for tire recycling, plastic waste processing and industrial waste-to-energy operations across Europe.
The recycling sector is one of the fastest-growing markets for thermal processing equipment in Europe, driven by end-of-life vehicle regulations, plastic packaging directives and landfill bans on certain waste streams. Pyrolysis systems are the primary technology for converting end-of-life tyres, mixed plastics and biomass residues into valuable products: syngas (used as process fuel), pyrolysis oil (a refinery feedstock) and carbon black or char (a solid residue with fuel or construction material value).
Rotary dryers are used to condition incoming waste streams — reducing moisture in shredded tyres, wood waste or biomass chips to the levels required for efficient pyrolysis or combustion. Bag filters and cyclone separators control particulate emissions from pyrolysis reactors, dryers and conditioning equipment. All equipment is designed to comply with the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED 2010/75/EU).
Key Process Challenges
- 1
Highly variable feed composition (moisture, calorific value) requiring adaptive process control
- 2
Strict emission limits under IED — dioxins, furans, NOx, particulates
- 3
Handling of hazardous or contaminated materials requiring enclosed conveying
- 4
Integration of heat recovery from pyrolysis exhaust gases

View product →Our Technical Approach
Pyrolysis and waste conditioning equipment is dimensioned to IED 2010/75/EU emission limits from the first design iteration — not adapted after commissioning. Enclosed conveying and negative-pressure transfer points prevent fugitive emissions at handling stages that are typically the compliance gap in retrofit systems.
