Industrial Steel Buildings & Process Halls
Steel-framed process buildings — from the foundation level up, designed around your equipment.
Lozzar Process designs and supplies complete structural steel buildings to house industrial process equipment — from small enclosures over single machines to multi-bay production halls accommodating entire dryer, evaporator or filtration lines. Buildings are designed as portal frame structures (single-pitch, symmetrical or asymmetrical) or multi-storey framed buildings where process layout requires multiple floor levels.
Building Types and Structural Systems
Portal frame structures are the standard solution for single-storey industrial buildings. A portal frame consists of columns and a pitched or mono-pitch rafter, rigidly connected at the eaves and apex. The rigid joints provide lateral stability without diagonal bracing in the main frames. Portal frames span 15–50 m as a single span and can be extended to multi-bay configurations.
Multi-storey framed buildings (braced or moment-resisting frames) are used where equipment is arranged on multiple floor levels — common in evaporator stations, distillation columns, or tall dryer buildings. These structures use a regular column grid with composite or concrete floor slabs on steel beams.
Crane-rated buildings require additional design consideration for the crane runway beam, lateral crane forces, and dynamic load factors. We design buildings for overhead travelling cranes (EOT) from 1 to 50 tonnes.
Building envelopes use insulated composite panels (sandwich panels) or built-up cladding systems for walls and roofs. Typical U-values 0.5–0.8 W/m²K for heated buildings; uninsulated steel sheeting for cold storage or outdoor shelters.

When a Steel Building Is the Right Choice
Process requires a dedicated enclosure (weather, dust, noise)
Portal frame building with insulated composite cladding is the standard solution
