In the Chemical and Fertilizer Industry, Rotary Granulators are frequently preferred for the granulation of fertilizers such as NPK/DAP/TSP/SSP and many other chemical products due to their advantages.

The general working principle of rotary granulators is based on the wet granulation process. With the help of a certain amount of liquid and/or gas, powder raw materials are chemically reacted in the granulator under specific liquid/gas/solid phase conditions, assisted by the rotation of the granulator.

In fertilizer production, steam, gaseous ammonia, phosphoric and sulfuric acids, and other chemical additives are subjected to an agglomeration process in rotary granulators through chemical reaction and heat. At the outlet of the granulator, drying, cooling, and coating processes are applied under appropriate conditions. Granules that do not meet the desired particle size are fed back into the granulation process.

Advantages:

  • High granule product capacity
  • Custom design based on granule properties
  • Suitable for mixing liquids, gases, and solids
  • Ideal for large particle sizes
  • Robust design with low maintenance requirements
